Frequently Asked Questions

01What exactly does my child learn across the 12 weeks?

The programme is built in three phases:

Financial Foundations (Sessions 1–6) — We start with what money actually is, where it comes from, and how it works. Children learn budgeting, needs vs. wants, compound interest, how banks work, investing basics, stocks, mutual funds, index funds, and how to build a simple portfolio. Everything is taught through stories, games, and real-life examples. No lectures.

Psychology of Money (Sessions 7–9) — This is where it gets really interesting. Children learn why we overspend, how brands and social media influence our decisions, how to spot financial scams, and how to build money habits that actually hold, even under peer pressure.

Entrepreneurship & Pitch Day (Sessions 10–12) — Every child develops their own business idea, builds a real business plan, and prepares an investor-style presentation. The programme ends with a Shark Tank-style Graduation Day where they pitch in front of parents and peers.

By the end, your child doesn’t just know money terms — they can make real decisions, think critically, and stand up and present an idea they built themselves.

02My child is only 10, is that too young?

If they’re old enough to want what they see on Instagram, they’re old enough for this.

03Can’t I just teach this at home?

You should — and we’ll help you do that too. But kids hear things differently from someone who isn’t mom or dad, and learn differently around peers. We partner with you, not replace you.

04My child already has a packed schedule.

Your child will spend thousands of hours preparing for exams and almost zero learning to manage money, which will affect every decision they make for the rest of their life. Only one session a week for 12 weeks, and you set your child up for financial independence.

05Will they get bored? My child gets bored very easily.

They debate, argue, play games, make investment decisions, and build a business from scratch. The most common thing parents tell us: “This is the one thing my child actually looks forward to every week.”

06Who teaches this?

Mikita, the Founder of MindPod Learning — a Chartered Accountant and ex-Private Equity & Venture Capital professional — designed the entire programme and teaches every single session herself.

07Is this only for children already interested in money?

Not at all. Most children who join have never thought seriously about money. Interest develops through doing — the programme is built around stories, games, real choices, and their own ideas.

08What’s the difference between the two tracks?

Kickstart (ages 10–13) covers foundational money skills through stories, games and hands-on activities, followed by a Graduation Day pitch. Level Up (ages 14–16) goes deeper into investing psychology and more complex concepts, with a more advanced Graduation Day pitch.
